Newborn Photoshoots in Sussex
As a mum myself, I understand how quickly time passes by. The first days of your baby’s life are a rollercoaster of emotions; sleepless nights, getting to grips with parenthood and new grandparents clambering at the door to see your little miracle! It can be overwhelming and, before you know it, the newborn stage is over. So please allow me the honour of preserving this precious, magical time for you so that you can cherish it forever.
Where does my Newborn Photoshoot take place?
My newborn sessions in Sussex take place in your home, making it a calm and comfortable experience for all involved. The shoots are very much relaxed and directed by you and your family. Please do not worry about ‘the mess’ or feel it necessary to make any special preparations for my arrival. This is all about your little one!
When should I schedule my baby photoshoot?
The perfect age to photograph your newborn is ideally within the first month of their birth when they’re still tiny and sleepy!
What happens in my Newborn Photoshoot?
My newborn sessions are typically 2 hours long with plenty of breaks for feeding, cuddles and, of course, outfit changes. I want to capture those honest and real aspects of your family life with its newest member, their teeny tiny hands & feet and most importantly newborn snuggles.
I encourage all my clients to look through my portfolio and ask me any questions they have about their baby’s photoshoot beforehand. My question to the clients is always ‘How could we enhance your shoot?’ A specific outfit? A special toy? A ‘hand me down’ that has significant meaning to your family? An interaction with a parent or sibling? Whatever it might be, this is your baby’s story, and I am here to help you tell it.
When editing your photos, I include a mix of colour and black and white, as well as a highlight video with an accompanying song of your choice. I have always found combining photography with music a wonderful pairing and something that really can put the final stamp of individuality into your family photo session. Perhaps the first dance song from your wedding? Or a song from your birthing playlist? Making a personalised soundtrack can really enhance the mood of the shoot and all of you will remember the fun you had that day, every time you hear it.
